Something new is being created!

At The Rockwood Center, we aim to provide entrepreneurial opportunities to empower people in our community. Those opportunities have changed and expanded over the years, but the mission has stayed the same. 

Entrepreneurial Opportunities

El Rockwood Center está comprometido con el desarrollo económico del área de Rockwood. Una misión del Rockwood Center es crear microempresas para brindar la oportunidad de aprender habilidades comerciales y desarrollar espacios de trabajo conjunto empresarial.

Actualmente, The Rockwood Center está organizando We-Sew Collective Creations y las clases de pastel de gelatina de Nanci Carrera.

We-Sew es un programa enfocado en empoderar a las mujeres de la comunidad con oportunidades comerciales en la costura. ¡Muchas de nuestras mujeres ahora están creando bolsos Tote que se venden en toda la comunidad durante el verano en varias exposiciones de arte y que eventualmente estarán disponibles en línea!

The Sewing Collective, create workshops for beginners to gain and improve sewing skills for entrepreneurial use. Contact the Rockwood Center for details of the next available class.

Jewelry Workshop

The Jewelry Workshop meets on Mondays to gain and improve Jewelry skills for entrepreneurial use. Contact the Rockwood Center for details of the next available class. 

Micro

Grants

The Rockwood Center has a limited amount of micro grants available each year. Startup grants of $500 are available to qualified applicants.  These grants are intended to remove small barriers for entrepreneurs to begin businesses.
